Hi, I’m Alicia. I’m a Mama of two and reside in the country side of Southeastern, Ontario, Canada with my husband, our children and golden doodle. I’m a lover of Reiki, nature and enjoy hikes. I love tree hugging, gemstones, Mala making and the ocean. We live a simple, holistic lifestyle and find joy in all the little things each and every day. I’m a Yoga loving and mindfulness junkie; it keeps me real, calm and connected to my mind, body and soul. I believe self-love is the best love we can give ourselves and living with positive intention each day will fills our soul with happiness and gratefulness. I’m just trying to find my Zen in the midst of raising two young children, just like many of you!
I didn’t set out to be a holistic practitioner. Instead, I went to University and loaded up on sociology, philosophy, psychology and women’s studies courses. I followed that up with diplomas in the Developmental Services Worker Field and Autism and Behaviour Science where I have worked as an Educational Assistant in the school system for a number of years. My turning point came when I suffered a lower back injury in 2012, which eventually lead to surgery in late 2013. My recovery was hard and lead me down a dark path of depression, guilt and anxiety. I finally found the light again through Reiki, reflexology and using Malas as a mindfulness tool. My life changed through these holistic approaches and I was able to find balance, good health and happiness again. This is where I became a Mindfulness Coach, Mala Maker and Reiki Practitioner. This is what sets my soul on fire and I want to help you find your joy in life!
